Mangrove History Timeline

How it all started - 1994: Mangrove Software, Inc. is founded, in Tampa, FL.     

8 years earlier - 1986: BenefitOne of America, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida , began handling COBRA continuation benefits when a 20,000 employee group they had been servicing for years asked them to develop a system to comply with the demands of the new law.

1996: Mangrove develops one of the first comprehensive, affordable HRMS and Payroll applications, HR₂O, available for small to mid-size companies.  

1998: Mangrove, a true innovator, is one of the first to introduce a fully-integrated web-based Human Resource, Payroll, and Self Service Solution.  Mangrove clients enjoy all of the same features and functionality as their in-house licensed application, such as, employee and manager self service, web-based recruitment management, and benefits management, delivered all via the web.      

2000: BenefitOne enters into the FSA arena, quickly becoming an industry leader.  And in 2005, answering the needs of employers, implements debit card administration for FSA management.

2005: Mangrove surpasses 5,000 Human Resource and Payroll customers. 

March 2007: Mangrove acquires BenefitOne of America, marking a significant milestone in Mangrove history.  Renamed Mangrove Employer Services, Inc., they now provide full-service benefits administration to compliment their Human Resource Management and Payroll system. 

October 2007: Mangrove acquires Access1Source, a web-based Human Resource and Payroll Service Bureau located in Las Vegas, Nevada .  This acquisition adds a regional operations center on the West Coast and six additional branch offices throughout the United States .    

2008: Mangrove will release its most advanced and anticipated new Human Resource and Payroll Version, V5, which is developed in .Net.  Mangrove Benefit Services will provide HRA and HSA with debit card administration, commencing January 1, 2008.
